Privacy Policy

Overview

EdgeForever (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. We keep it straightforward because we believe privacy policies should be readable.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and business name. If you sign up via Google OAuth, we receive your name and email from Google.

Business data: When you connect your Google Business Profile, we access your publicly available review data, business information, and review responses. We use this data to provide the Service.

Payment information: Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers. We receive confirmation of subscription status from Stripe.

Usage data: We collect basic analytics about how you use the Service (pages visited, features used, session duration) to improve the product. We use PostHog for analytics.

Communications: If you email us or submit a contact form, we retain the message content and your contact information to respond and improve our service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and maintain the Service, including review monitoring, automated responses, and business intelligence features; process payments and manage subscriptions; send transactional emails (alerts, weekly digests, billing notifications); improve the Service based on usage patterns; respond to support requests and communications; and comply with legal obligations.

3. AI Processing

We use third-party AI services (Anthropic Claude) to generate review response drafts, perform sentiment analysis, and produce business intelligence reports. Your review data is sent to these services for processing. We do not use your data to train AI models. AI-generated content is produced in real-time for your specific request and is not stored by our AI providers beyond the processing window.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We share data only with:

Service providers: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (application hosting), Anthropic (AI processing), Resend (email delivery), and PostHog (analytics). Each provider processes data only as necessary to provide their service.

Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, and row-level security in our database. Access to production data is restricted to essential personnel. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your data for 90 days in case you reactivate. After 90 days, data is permanently deleted. You can request immediate deletion at any time by emailing privacy@edgeforever.com.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to: access your data (we can provide an export); correct inaccurate data; delete your data; opt out of non-essential communications; and request information about how your data is processed. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request deletion.

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and theme preference. We use PostHog for product analytics, which may use cookies to track usage patterns. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect Service functionality.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email and/or a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
